Nuggets of Wisdom

4 A farmer too lazy to plant in the spring has nothing to harvest in the fall.

3 Avoiding strife is to one's honor, but any fool can get into a quarrel.

1 Wine is a mocker, strong drink a brawler, and whoever is led astray by it is not wise.

27 If you stop listening to instruction, my child, you will turn your back on knowledge.

25 If you punish a mocker, the simpleminded become wise; if you correct the wise, they will be all the wiser.

23 Worshiping the Lord leads to life— true life, safety, and protection from harm.

21 Many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails.

20 Listen to advice and accept instruction, and in the end you will be wise.
